Bridgton
Discussion

There was talked about a need for a noontime meeting in the area – there were noon meetings in Portland, Lewiston and North Conway – but none in this area.  Bridgton seemed to be the logical choice as its daytime population was thought to be able to support a noontime meeting.  After considering other locations, the American Legion was approached and consented to try it out.  The first week of June, 1990 the meeting started and with many ups and downs, has continued to survive.  I opened four days a week for the first 6-8 months and couldn’t do it after that, but through the help of Dave, Arthur, Robin, Brian and others the meeting has held its own (By the Grace of God).

The meeting was originally called the Bridgton Noon Meeting. It's unknown at this time when the name changed. The meeting moved from the American legion on Depot Street in September 2005
