The Fryeburg Sunday rise and shine meeting began in December of 1990.

The meeting was started by Sue E. and Sandy and Scott K. We originally met at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church in the Hospitality Room. This was a small room and we quickly grew out of these surroundings.

We moved the meeting to the narthex of the Church and continued to grow and had to move to the Parish Hall.

Paul and Linda C. volunteered early in the meeting history to open the meeting and make coffee. They did this for a few years.

After a while, the church service interfered with the meeting time and we had to find a new home. We began to meet at the Pythagorean Hall in Fryeburg and then moved onto the old section of Fryeburg Academy and finally to the Science Wing. As of this month, June, 2004, this is where our meeting is held.

In 2004 the meeting became more active in service and we got a GSR, Rob L., who represents us at District #17 meetings regularly; Beth F., is secretary; Scott K. is our treasurer and Kevin F. is our coffee maker. Shortly after taking her position of secretary, Beth had to resign from her position for personal reasons and Sue E. took over as secretary.

The meeting continues to grow and is continually supported by regulars and our out of town visitors to our area. We feel it is a nice way to begin a Sunday morning.
