The North Windham Group was founded in 1977 by Oral and Joan. Some of the early members were Dick M., Stan L., Joey W., Steve O.B., Phil H., Oral, Joan and Paul R.
The meeting was and is today held in St. Ann’s Church on River Road in Windham on Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. The group has always met there except during a period of renovation around 1984. The group held the meetings in the homes of Wayne A. and Tom and Sandy M.
The meeting was an open discussion meeting from 1977 until 1996 when group conscience voted to change it to an “As Bill Sees It” meeting. The group experimented with speaker meetings from time to time, but these did not work out. Quite often they have a guest chairperson.
